1. Carnations
Bold and bright classics, cloves are great to add to a bouquet because they can last two to three weeks after cutting.

Alstroemeria, also called Peruvian lily or Inca lily, is a magnificent perennial plant that comes in many different colors. This flower in a vase looks like a swarm of butterflies with outstretched wings, and is still beautiful for two weeks.

How to make cut flowers live longer in a vase?
Regardless of the variety of the flower, there are many ways you can extend the life of the vase:
- For starters, always cut the flowers at a 45 degree angle about two inches from the end of the stem. This provides a larger surface area for water absorption.
- Remove all leaves and flowers that are below the waterline, as this can cause rot in the water, which can shorten the life of the flowers. In this line of thought, get rid of all the dead or decaying leaves or petals.
